Marshmallow Lollipops

Marshmallows. Covered in pink candy. With sprinkles. On a stick.

Sounds like a 3 year-old's dream treat to me.

I put these together for my daughter to bring to her preschool class in celebration of her birthday. My goal was to make a unique treat that the kids would love, but that the teachers wouldn't hate me for doling out (I am hoping they won't make too much of a mess).

Those marshmallows on a stick are super cute -- did you just melt almond bark and dye it pink for the "icing"?

I think the portable dollhouse is a super good idea. I won't be buying one because we bought one of those giant plastic ones last christmas but I would much rather have done this. I would offer the people to go with it too. Are you making furniture for yours or buying premade stuff? My daughter who's almost 4 years old loves to play like this last night at supper she had a whole grape family going on and in the car her fingers are the family. I think it would be a hit!

Neat idea for preschool.

Oh and the doll house...I love this idea...I think I suggested something like this and I don't need the house cause I have the big plastic one but hey if it is in the budget I would probably buy something like this for someone else. Will you sell the people by itself or as a group...And furniture would be something I would get...we don't have much...Great idea!

Hi Kristin!!! I LOVE your blog... and think I have talked my husband into the dollhouse as a DYI project... I think there would be a market for "kits"... but would using "wood" make it too expensive as a kit?? Would FOAMBOARD be an option... or maybe a thinner plywood? I think it would be WONDERFUL to offer... I'm thinking of it as maybe a "traveling" toy... that you can take on trips (to Grandparents house) and use once you arrived...

Those marshmallow lollis are adorable!!!

Lala :o)

YES, you should definitely do it. You've got so many excellent ideas, you seriously need an eBook or an Etsy store or something, girl! ;) (Or do you already have an Etsy store and I've missed it?)

you are seriously such a creative person! I wish I wish is all i have to say! So cool!

YES! Definitely do this ... as long as you make enough of a profit to make it worth your time/energy, but still be reasonable for us folks to purchase?

Lollipops are beatiful (yes ... what is the icing?)

yes I think the dollhouse would be great and many people would go crazy over it. would it be decorated w/ paper already or would you leave it plain?

Love the marshmallow lollipops. My son's birthday is in Dec. I will have to remember that one.

Portable dollhouse, sign me up. Maybe, just maybe this will lead you into the Etsy realm. I still think you should get a store.

Lovely Kristin! I would definitely be interested in a kit. We haven't bought the ugly plastic one yet. Like Shannon said, you could sell them decorated or undecorated on Etsy or even in stores. GO FOR IT!

I love the pink marshmallows! What did you use for the pink icing?

About the portable dollhouses- I would definitly buy like...5. Seriously. They're super cute and would make GREAT birthday/Christmas gifts. Even for older girls who could decorate them themselves. What are you thinking for a price range?

Hi--I follow your blog--and love all of your ideas! I think your kit idea is great! After seeing your post I thought I want to make one, but also thought I probably wouldn't be able to get my husband to do the wood part of the work. So if there was a plain kit ready for me to order I would do it! If you needed a vote for wood or foam board I would go for the wood--Is MDF cheaper then real wood? I think it would last longer then foam board--maybe?

I would be interested in it if it was affordable. My daughter has a doll house for her little peopel but she never plays with it but she may like this one more.

PS Love the marshmellows! So cute.

That's a great idea for a snack. Shouldn't be nearly as messy as cupcakes get.
Great idea for a little home-based business. I think my daughter is probably too old to enjoy it now, and the other daughter is too much of a tomboy I think (i'll check with them on that) but, I think they would be very popular.

I would totally be interested in that-- you could do very well on etsy. Also, can you post instructions for the marhmallow pops?

I think the doll house is a great idea and if my mother hadnt bought a huge doll house for my daughters birthday this month, i'd consider buying one of yours!

Love the marshmallows!

The kit is a great idea! Any chance you'd offer them as both undecorated kits and fully decorated ready-to-go houses? While many of us might be capable of decorating the house (although not nearly as well!), surely I'm not the only one who would be completely incapable of doing the people. Especially the hair and faces! And to be honest, my wallpaper and flooring would look like my 3 year old did it. Which might have some element of charm, but isn't nearly as cute. :)

Love the marshmellow treats! They are just adorable. The whole doll house kit is a great idea too. How much fun to have the kids help decorate the new house for their little family. Great post.

You should totally offer the kits! A couple Christmases ago, I bought a kit for an MDF wood dollhouse, and my inlaws put it together and decorated it...it was AMAZING!! I can show it to you if you want..my dd STILL cherishes it, and she is 14 now, lol!

Loving the marshmallow lollipops. Please tell us how to make them. We're having a Princess Party fundraiser at school and these would be perfect!

Um...YUM! Those are the best! I hope you don't mind me stopping by...I honestly can't even remember where I was before here...just surfing around on a Saturday night :) I'm so makin' these marshmallow pops!

Yes ma'am, I would definitely purchase the dollhouse. I would try to do it myself, but it looks like it's already been done by you! Yay.... My daughter is turning two soon, and this is the BEST alternative to barbie and "bratz." My husband forbids them in our home... lol.. this is perfect. I LOVES IT!

I would love a portable doll house. Let me know when you get it all together, so I can buy one!

Those little marshmallows are the cutest thing ever! Must make them for the boys!

A portable dollhouse would be great! Can you make a portable train set, too??

I am a little behind the times. What was the verdict? Are you selling these houses? They are so cute. I made some clothespin doll for my little girls, but these are cuter :).
