It's not all my fault...

I have been trying to organize my craft area, I really have. But, you see, I have these two little people who have other ideas.

I did make some progress, though. And when I am finished, I will be sure to snap a picture to prove it. Because we know it won't stay that way long.

This magnetic board is a project I completed last night, and I hung it above my desk. I just took a cheap frame that I already had, and decoupaged paper on a sheet of metal that was cut to fit in the frame. Don't you love that print? It is actually wrapping paper, and when I saw the roll, I had to have it, even though I had no clue how I would use it (besides wrapping, of course). It was perfect for this memory board.

Finally, I wanted to mention these shirts that Julie made for her kids:

Aren't those adorable?! She based her design off of my tutorial, but I think hers turned out better! See, I said it would have been cuter on a more vibrant colored shirt.

Love your memory board - what a great idea! These would be great in my kids room over their study desks. Your daughters look cute in their fort.

Okay, So I love the idea of the board and I actually just bought one the other day. I had painted it, but needed something else! I was at Hobby Lobby today and saw the exact paper you used! But I have a question. What is decoupage?
Where do I get it?

Tammie,
Decoupage is simply a process of adhering a paper to another object. It is SO easy (which is why I love it)! I use Mod Podge, and you can find it at Hobby Lobby or Walmart in the craft/glue area. I use a foam brush to apply the glue to the metal, then place the paper on top, and apply a final coat of glue on top of the paper sealing it. Happy decoupaging!

I'm catching up on your blog! I LOVE that magnetic board; I'm making one for my scrapbooking/card-making space . . . once it's finished! =) I love everything you've done! A lot of my friends are now checking out your blog also! You actually inspired me to get on these projects that I've had on my list, sitting around my house for months now! So, Saturday was PROJECT DAY; I was able to get three of my projects done . . . finally! I'll probably post about them . . . just haven't had a chance yet! Okay, we're off to swimming lessons . . . can't wait to see what creative thing you muster up this week!! =)
