Teacher Appreciation - Scrappy Wallets

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. With my oldest in a "kindergarten enrichment" program (her primary education is through homeschooling, but this extra activity is the highlight of her week), and my youngest attending pre-school,  I have a combined 4 teachers to think about. I want to let them know how blessed we feel to send our girls off knowing that they are safe and nurtured in their school environment (but mainly to express deep gratitude for my twice weekly freedom; I could not maintain any level of sanity without that child-free time)

The tutorial for "A Spoonful of Sugar Girls" Scrappy Wallet has been on my to do list for a while, and it seemed like the perfect gift.

So, I made 6 of these adorable
card-organizing wallets, assembly line style.
(The tutorial was excellent - and clearly addicting)

A simple "Thank You" card printed on cardstock,
and a Sonic gift card fit perfectly inside.

Wrapped up with coordinating flower pins!
Presentation is everything!

Not wanting to leave any of my girls' exemplary educators out, I have determined that I must adequately thank my daughter's primary teacher (remember, she is homeschooled). After all, I have been so impressed with her at every parent-teacher conference. Yes, she definitely deserves a scrappy wallet of her own!

GREAT idea! Adorable wallets ... and good for you for giving yourself one, too! you could always chalk it up to "product testing" ... that's what i do! ;o)

I love these! You must have planned the fabric to match the gift card, that's something I would have done! I just finished wrapping some teacher gifts myself! Everything looks better in cellophane...and I love the fabric flowers! Carla

Ad so thoughtful of you to include her primary teacher... as a primary teacher myself, I can say that is very kind and will be much appreciated!

just a formatting hint, may not apply, but if you are copy and pasting your post from word to blogger, that maybe where you get the strike-thru from.

A trick is to copy it first into notepad (which you can find in accessories from your start menu), then paste it from notepad into blogger.

It's a pain, but thought it might help!
