Who knew an octopus could be this cute?

My youngest sister recently sent my daughter an adorable dog/owl/cute creature thing (whatever it is, its cute!) for her birthday - I would post a picture of it, but it is currently with my napping daughter; and nothing (even a cute stuffed creature) is worth waking a sleeping child

So, when I called Priscilla (i.e. Silla, i.e. my sister) to rave about her gift, she told me that she had also sewn an octupus for a friend.

Oh. My. Word. Adorable

This is just another reason that I am excited about her moving down my way to attend college in the fall - craft nights! Fridays can be decoupage and paper crafts, and Saturdays will be fabric arts. Isn't that what every college freshman wants to do on the weekend?

Right Silla?

Silla?!

Anyway, because I am very easily influenced, I immediately felt the need to create a stuffed animal of my own, and chose to make the Pointy Kitty from Wee Wonderfuls

(Please ignore the dust, I gave my cleaning staff a few weeks off for the holidays)

She's Candy Cane the Christmas Kat (she even has a jingle bell collar). I made her a little too late for the holidays, but we are sure to enjoy her next year.

SIIIIILLLLAAAAAA?

Both animals are very cute. You are right not even a picture of a stuffedanimal is worth waking up a napping child.

Heeheee! Love the name "Silla" and love the big sis harrassment! I am the youngest sis with older twin sisters, so I feel her pain! But at least you can keep her out of trouble...wink!

How fun to have your sister nearby! She may give you a weekend or two here or there for a craft night. I wish I lived closer!
