Fall break has already come and gone. We spent the long weekend with our church's college group on a retreat in the "mountains" (most people would call them hills, but in the vast prairies of Oklahoma, they qualify for that title!). Our girls loved having the attention of so many "big kids" and thrived on the fresh air and exercise that the time away afforded. A hike to the top of the "mountain" was the highlight of the weekend - watching my 6 year-old nearly sprint up the rocky terrain sure did reveal just how much I need to make it to the gym!
I have several crafty projects in the works, but most are sitting in a half-completed state. And because I love to start things with a burst of energy and finish them at a snail's pace, I offer yet another distraction: online shopping.
These are a few of my favorite fall things...
Actually giving it to its intended recipient proved quite difficult.
(But I did.)
I have wanted to learn to knit for a while now,
Also, Husband? If you are reading, and happen to be at a loss for what to
get me for my birthday, this is an excellent candidate.
But my mom does. And I'm jealous.
If it weren't for the fact that we wear different sizes,
I would be very tempted to swipe them.
Love. It.
I have worn it entirely too many times in the
last 2 weeks since purchasing it, but I don't care!

Frankly, I'm missing fall since we've just moved from Pennsylvania to South TX - but I do love the scent of pumpkin and cinnamon (which at least makes it *feel* fall-ish even it it's still 90 degrees ;)
