The time has come for my youngest to graduate to a "big girl bed." She has been in a toddler bed long enough! Since she's had the same decor since her nursery, I was excited to find something new.
I was thrilled to find this bedding on clearance at Pottery Barn Kids.
Scallops? Check. Polka dots? Check. As girly as can be? Check.
Looks like I've got all of my bases covered!
It wasn't until I had already settled on the bedding that I remembered
an embroidery pattern that I'd been waiting for a reason to try out.
The "Little Dresses" pattern from A Print A Day is perfect!
I plan to embroider all six dresses and frame them individually above the bed.
One down, 5 more to go (This will be an excellent diversion during the long wait in the carpool line each afternoon)! I'll be sure to show you the finished product as soon as its ready.
Happy Weekend!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bedding and the embroidery idea. What a lucky girl you have. (If I knew how to embroider I would steal the idea!)
Love it! How do you embroider? It looks simple enough, but I have no clue!
what a great find!!! love them!
what pretty fabric and a fun matching embroidery!!
Love the bedding! And, I just love handmade art! I'm not so great at it, so I'm having a local artist do some drawings for my daughter's new room.
Enjoy your carpool-line diversion! (Mine's a book on CD right now...)
