Giveaway!

I had so much fun making my first zippered pouch, that I decided to whip up another - for one of you

This time I added a ruffled pleat and flower; and yes, my fabric choice was in every way influenced by the ice storm we are enduring here in Oklahoma. Upon gazing at this little bag I am transported to a tropical locale where fresh pineapple slices and macadamia nuts (chocolate covered, of course!) abound.

Who knew a yard of fabric could provide such an escape? (Although, I do wonder why I only think about food in my imaginings...)

Back to the giveaway.

To enter, just leave a comment telling me where you would travel if money were no object

I will randomly choose a winner on Sunday (1-31-08) evening. Good luck!

Hmmm, I think I would travel to Italy. Hubster has family there and boy do they cook. I wouldnt have to step foot in the kitchen. I would love to roam around and see the sights, all that history, and of course the churches... Pictures are amazing but I bet up close they are beyond beautiful.

I am a long time lurker. Delurking cause I loved this question. I need a vaca, lol.

I love love your blog though! keep it up. (I still love the little people and doll house)

Honestly, where WOULDN'T I travel if money was no object?

Paris, Spain, Portugal, Italy (Rome, Venice, and Florence), Greece, London, Ireland, Vatican City.

I think that covers most of Europe.

Then there's Cairo and the pyramids. Moscow (I wanna see St. Basil's basilica).

Mexico and just about anywhere in Latin America.

Alaska -- a cruise would be awesome!

Every state in the USA. And all the national parks.

Did I leave anything out?

Oh yeah, Beijing and Hong Kong.

nicole said...

I can totally relate to Janelle's answer. There are too many places to choose. But at the top of my list is Greece. My grandparents went there when I was young and I've wanted to go ever since. I'm a huge fan of Greek Mythology and Greece would be a dream come true.

Hmmm...If money were no object, I would buy a huge RV and travel with my family around the entire United States. My first thought went to exotic foreign localities but then I realized that I haven't seen even a fraction of the glory and beauty of my own country!

I would travel to Brazil. My husband and I have been wanting to go there for so long......hopefully someday!

Anonymous said...

If money was not an object I would do a world tour. That would be glorious.
We would definitely make a stop in Scotland. In fact it would be our priority number one stop. My husband's best friend lives there and I have never had the pleasure of meeting him. What a fun trip it would be. Since I can't make it to Scotland right now, that adorable zipper pouch would be a great consolation prize! My make up bag broke and I am currently using a ziplock bag.

I've been lucky to travel (lots) and would love to take my husband to Spain or back to Brazil with him. We like tropical places.
Oh wait- I still have never been to Switzerland where my mother-in-law is from. I want/need to meet her mom.

Morocco! More specifically Marrakesh, the land of sunny olive groves, warm mint tea and medieval Islamic architecture. My husband and I never got a honeymoon because he is in the military but someday we will go!

I think if money were no object, I'd go back to Europe. I studied in Spain in college, but DH has never been. That would be a super-fun trip!! France, Spain, Italy....wherever our fancy led us!

I just discovered your blog today and I LOVE it! I think I've spent a good hour going through the archives for craft ideas.

So if I had enough money, I would travel through Europe. Greece and Switzerland are at the top of my list. :-)

Another lurker here that just couldn't resist answering that question. Or the prize! I just love NYC. I grew up on a farm and now live in a small suburb, so I was a little suprised to find myself so at home and ease there. Other than that, oh I don't know, Europe. Like all of it. Just pack my camera and I would be in heaven...

if money were no object, i'd stay in my own home town, but i'd do things that i can't normally do. i'd be able to take said money others may spend on extravegent trips and give it to my daughter. i'd enroll her in toddler classes and let her have fun that other kids are having but she lacks b/c we can't afford those things.

In my life I have learned that growing up dirt poor and just barely making ends meet today, I have learned to appreciate more what is around me than what is out there that is unreachable.

That being said I desire nothing but to give my daughter things I feel guilty that I can not in this current economy.

I don't wish to win your contest, but I just wanted to share.

A girl can always dream.

There are three places I would really like to travel one day.... Australia, Europe (at least 6 months) and Hawaii. Top choice would probably be Australia because that is one place both my husband and I would like to go. I have always wanted to travel around Europe and wonder why I didn't take the time to do it before having kids??? Guess the big trips will have to wait until the kids are older or moved out of the house!!

I love your blog!!

Creative Blog sent me over and I will be back. Your pouch is SO cute and bright - love bright!
Where to go...my first thought was the dream Alaskan cruise my hubby and I have always had - with hopes of seeing Orca whales in the ocean. THEN - relating to your desire for warmth and my love for pineapple and macadamia nuts...Hawaii would be great -especially NOW! (LOL)
But to give it serious thought and with money as no object, I would definitely want my whole family to take a Homeland Tour and go to South Korea with our adopted daughter to help her get a feel for her heritage and perhaps meet some of the folks that helped bring her to us. She is such a bright flower in our lives - reminds me of your beautiful creation - and my, would SHE love that! I'd have to share - thanks for a chance.

Oh what a good question! I would definitely want to travel everywhere, but the absolute first stop on my whirlwind travel extravaganza would be Africa. There is something about the land, animals, and aboriginal peoples that I have been fascinated with since childhood. Since I tend to be super girly and hate bugs this bag would help me to remain girly and carry much needed bug spray and baby wipes so I don't get to grimey!

Thanks for the awesome blog and super crafts! My husband saw your taggy football and has been after me to make one for our unborn son!

My younger daughter would LOVE this bag!! If money (and time) were no object, I would spend a month or two in Ireland tracing my family roots!! I have a lot of information about my family's beginnings there and would love to experience it for myself. Although, money is an object, I plan to go one day!

Hello, I'm dropping by from Todays Creative Blog.
Where would I go?
Psh,that a no brainer for me....England!!
I have loved England since I was 14.Love, like obsession.I use to,as a teen, watch only British programs,I collected anything made in England or had the Union Jack on it.I went overboard with it.
I still love the place, but most of my 'British' things are packed nicely in a box in my closet now.

If money were no object I would go to the one place I have ALWAYS wanted to go since I was little....Australia! I love the aussie accents, the gorgous men that seem to come from there, and the Landscape. Its just an all around beautiful country. Now that Im thinking about it, it makes me feel much WARMER!! Hope it warms you up a little to!

Oh, how fun! I would definitely visit Australia for a few months, and New Zealand. Spain to visit the in-laws is a must, then I would probably go visit my friend Emily who is living in Japan and finish it off with a trip to Disneyworld for the kiddos. I would travel to Helper Utah. To see my grandmothers house. She passed away years ago but when I was last there I wish I would have taken a photo of the mail slot on the front door, the pink tile in her bathroom, the large mud ball that my dad had made that is still sitting next to the door and also the flowers out back that she used to pick the leaves from to put in salad at her house. That is where I would go.
