I had so much fun making my first zippered pouch, that I decided to whip up another - for one of you!
This time I added a ruffled pleat and flower; and yes, my fabric choice was in every way influenced by the ice storm we are enduring here in Oklahoma. Upon gazing at this little bag I am transported to a tropical locale where fresh pineapple slices and macadamia nuts (chocolate covered, of course!) abound.
Who knew a yard of fabric could provide such an escape? (Although, I do wonder why I only think about food in my imaginings...)

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 248 of 248Cute clutch you talented gal! I'd travel to Mongolia, specifically in July for the big festival. I'd sleep in a yurt and try yak butter tea...maybe.
Sandra from Thistle Cove Farm in VA and I don't care what the blogger id says. I'm too computer stupid to know how to change from my farm blog to county blog.
www.thistlecovefarm.blogspot.com where we're going thru some sad times now.
Easy, I would travel to Romania. My hubby and I have gone there every summer for the past 6. Except for this last one because I was pregnant with our daughter. We teach English using the Bible to 6-12 year olds. There is a group of children in the Hope Orphanage that we like to think of as "our kids". I missed them last summer and think of them often. It's not very warm there right now, but I wouldn't care!
I'm a huge fan of your blog. Thank you for being you!

There are so many places but I think I'd like to go back to Europe and see it all.
Love the bag

My husband went to London a few years ago to study and he has always wanted to take me there. So I guess that is where I would go. ALthough right now anywhere sounds nice!!
Money, no object? I'd be on a plane, first-class of course, on my way back to Hawaii. My husband and I used to live and teach there. Now that I have children I want them to experience island life and learn to love it...just like I do! Okay, a long, drawn-out, whirlwind tour of Europe would be nice, too! Thanks for a chance to win!
I would go to Megan's Bay in St. Thomas.

I've been once for about 2 hours...but I fell in love. It is so incredibly wonderful. There are NO WAVES. You can literally float in the ocean with no worries. It's magical!
How adorable! Top on my travel list is Paris and London, then Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Prague, Greece, Italy, and then a variety of places here in the US - New Orleans, San Francisco, Chicago, NYC, Seattle, San Diego, Memphis, Nashville, etc....
As you can see, I've got a lot of places to go and am in total need of travel accessories. You can never have too many :)
LOVE the fabric! One day I'd like to go to Italy, but really I'm such a snuggle in at home kinda girl (old woman is more like it :)
And I'd reeeeally need to take my pups with me. But if money wansn't a problem...well~
Right now, I would take somewhere on the beach and warm enough for lots of skin to be left uncovered! Actually, forget warm, I need hot! I'm so sick of winter and cold.
Thanks for the giveaway--I definitely need a tropical pick-me-up!

Hmmm... I think if money were no object, I would go for the South Pole. That's one place I don't think we'll ever get to go, given the difficulty getting there and extravagant cost. Italy and Greece are on my more "reasonable" list!
Thanks for the great giveaway!
I'd travel to Paris again. For a start.
If money were no object, I would say Tuscany! I would LOVE to go there! Have a great day!
-Ruth Ann
Hmmmmmm...I would go to New Zealand. I would love to pick sea shells, fish, pick lava rocks...visit my bestest friend. Dreams are free...

Ooh... too many places in mind if I could travel anywhere! Hawaii (never been there) comes to mind... as well as those little houses in the Polynesian islands that are surrounded by water also comes to mind.... decisions! decisions! for sure a trip to Italy! :)
I would go on a long European cruise with my husband.
I would love to go to Australia. Linda gerig
With that cute bag, and no worries about money I'd visit the most exotic beaches of the world.
If money were no object, I think it would be all the little islands in the Pacific--Tahiti, Fiji, Samoa, Hawaii, New Zealand.
I think we would rent an RV and take the kids for a year-long trip around the US. What better education could you get than that??? And... for once, I wouldn't have to keep a calendar.
Well, since money is no object...I would start by exploring the U.S., head down to Mexico, central and south America. Then I'd head off the see Europe, all of it. Maybe stop by China and Japan. Stop in Australia for awhile and by then it might be spring/summer so I could head to Canada before heading home.
Oklahoma- I'm in Oklahoma too! Yeah- quite the ice storm- didn't look bad, but did you try driving? Yikes
I would definitely travel to Ireland with my husband. We are HUGE U2 fans and we have always wanted to go there and cruise the country side. If we had some extra money left (hey, you said no object) we'd make a quick stop in New Zealand.
Greece is the first place I thought of. Beautiful water, white houses and just gorgeous all around.
thanks for always coming up with amazing crafty projects. Have inspired me with many things you have done!
I would have to say I would take my 5 boys and DH on a year long trip around the world. Every month one person would get to chose where we go and what we do. It would be such a fun adventure!
Like you anywhere with sun! I think I would like to try the Bahamas! Such a cute bag!
I would go to Europe, Hawaii and then back to Alaska. So much fun to travel!

If money wasn't an object...lots of places...my son wants to ride on a plane...I think I'd want to visit my dad's birthplace in Jalisco, Mexic first...it's kinda deep in there. My grandmother lives there & she hasn't met any of my children...so that's where I would travel. It does have history there...& my father's family is pretty well known in this village :) So my children would enjoy the attention :)
Next...I want to travel to all colonial sites in the US...I want my children to learn everything about the Founding Fathers' time & all their liberties.
I would definitely go back to Italy and then on to Greece!!
By the way, what kind of decorative paper did you use to cover the notebooks you did in June? I tried scrapbook paper but it wasn't long enough. Any suggestions? Thanks, Sarah

If money were no object, I would go to Maine and Nova Scotia and then Scotland. I want to see some great scenery and land. Would go in the autumn. Thanks.
I'd go to Italy, and eat. A LOT. I mean a lot. Like, an obscene amount. So much that I'd have to walk from place to place in order to keep my clothes fitting! Hahaha!
Where wouldn't I love to go! But one week in Italy or in a neighboring state, I'd still miss my kids the same. So, I'll settle with accompanying this bright little number to the kids' next play date so all the other mothers can drool over it!
Love the bag and the blog!
Hawaii! We went there on our honeymoon and it was beautiful. I would love to go with our children :). Of course, I would also love to go to England, Israel, & Australia...but we can start with Hawaii!
Bora Bora!
Have alwasy wanted to go there.

Hum . . . either Ireland or Disney World. Huge differnce, I know! :-)
St. Lucia, in the Caribbean. DH and I wanted to honeymoon there, but decided to wait because of the cost. One of these days!
I know I should say Aruba, or Ireland or somewhere cool. Someday. But today, I just want to fly to Utah for the weekend and enjoy my family.
We moved to Boston a month ago, and with all the ice and snow as well as holidays as birthdays this last month, I am really missing them.
So, does the winner get a great zippered pouch or airfare for 4?
Love your site and all your inspiring ideas. Keep sewing.

There is only one place that I woulod travel...HOME. You see, three years ago I married a wonderful Christian man and followed him to his home...in Australia! Yes, it IS wonderful over here but my whole family is there in the US, Guyton, GA to be exact. I'm no longer able to just "run down the road" to see my Mom or my son (who is 23). So yes, I would travel to a small town in Guyton, GA.....HOME...
I absolutely love your site. Found you through Heart to Heart with Holley.
FIJI...where memories of the most wonderful honeymoon ever happened!!
