Easter Outfit Preparations

Spring break started on Friday in our school district, and aside from attending worship on Sunday, I have not ventured out of the house since Thursday evening. To say I have cabin fever would be a vast understatement. While it has been great to wake up a little later and just enjoy time at home, today I HAD to escape.

And where else would I flee to, but Hobby Lobby, of course (and a quick trip to the Dollar Store next door)!

Here are my purchases:
Silk flowers and headbands (Dollar Tree)
Chunky beads, pipe cleaners, and ribbon (Hobby Lobby)

Notice a common theme?
I have girls who love pink, and I'm happy to oblige!

I actually purchased everything to act as accessories for my daughters' Easter outfits.
The pipe cleaners will become flower rings (I might need one for myself).
The silk flowers will attach to the headbands as a hair accessory.
And the beads and ribbon will make "J Crew-esque" chunky necklaces.
(Have you seen the J Crew kids jewelry? Adorable.)

My color choice was pulled from the deep pink in the floral print of the skirts that each girl will wear.
I saw this fabric weeks ago at Hancock, and picked up a yard when it was half-off
($5 for two skirts - yay!)

I can't wait to show you the finished accessories! Oh, and also the adorable cardigans that each girl will be wearing in a coordinating splashy color (lets just say, some fabric dye was involved...).

As I end this post, I realize that I sure do put a lot of thought into one holiday's outfit (ok, I do it for every holiday). I'm not sure if that's normal, but I do know that it's fun.

Now if only I had any idea of what I will wear...

Cute! You have to post a picture of the girls or send it to my email. They will be so adorable!

I bought Kendall's Easter Dress in January. During a snow storm.

And I LOVE J Crew Kids. Colin's brother is getting married in September and I have a dress picked out for Kendall from there. It's only $200! And I picked out a lovely sport coat for Cason that is the low price of $188.

If only......
