Things I'm loving right now (or wish I had right now!)

Fall break has already come and gone. We spent the long weekend with our church's college group on a retreat in the "mountains" (most people would call them hills, but in the vast prairies of Oklahoma, they qualify for that title!). Our girls loved having the attention of so many "big kids" and thrived on the fresh air and exercise that the time away afforded. A hike to the top of the "mountain" was the highlight of the weekend - watching my 6 year-old nearly sprint up the rocky terrain sure did reveal just how much I need to make it to the gym!

I have several crafty projects in the works, but most are sitting in a half-completed state. And because I love to start things with a burst of energy and finish them at a snail's pace, I offer yet another distraction: online shopping.

These are a few of my favorite fall things...

I recently picked up this sweet bird necklace as a gift.
Actually giving it to its intended recipient proved quite difficult.
(But I did.)

I have wanted to learn to knit for a while now,
but this scarflette just sent that desire into overdrive.
Also, Husband? If you are reading, and happen to be at a loss for what to
get me for my birthday, this is an excellent candidate.

I don't own these adorable slippers.
But my mom does. And I'm jealous.
If it weren't for the fact that we wear different sizes,
I would be very tempted to swipe them.

Love. It.
I have worn it entirely too many times in the
last 2 weeks since purchasing it, but I don't care!

I finally tried one of Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
The verdict? This drink is worthy of the hype.
It smells EXACTLY like my favorite pumpkin bread.

What are you loving this fall?

I have fully embraced this season of FALL; I am LOVING absolutely everything about this time of the year! =) Love the fleece top and must agree that the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks is 'all that it is cracked up to be' . . . Btw, I made 16 large loaves of the best pumpkin banana bread ever last week!! You would LOVE it! It's one of Audrey Mauck's recipes . . . =) See you guys soon!

Frankly, I'm missing fall since we've just moved from Pennsylvania to South TX - but I do love the scent of pumpkin and cinnamon (which at least makes it *feel* fall-ish even it it's still 90 degrees ;)

Oh, and check out: http://sweetcheeksinthekitchen.blogspot.com/2009/09/pumpkin-spice-latte.html (Haven't tried it myself yet, but a friend of mine swears it's pretty close!)
