Fun Summer Art

My daughter came home from her mother's day out program with this adorable crab artwork. Made from her hand prints and sand paper (as the sand!), the project looks simple, and is definitely a worthy keepsake!

While both of my girls have been quite crafty lately (mainly due to all of the fun projects that they work on at "school"), I cannot say the same of myself. This is largely due to the fact that we are in the process of selling our home (Praise God, we have a contract signed!) and will be moving to temporary housing while our new home is completed.

However, at least for a day, I have decided that packing can wait... I miss my sewing machine

Look for a ruffle skirt tutorial soon!

So our house is on the market. What was the magical thing you did to get yours to sell? I am starting to get a little stressed.

Super cute art! I'll have to remember that for the future. I hear ya on missing your sewing machine. We've been on vacation and busy with summer life and there hasn't been much time in the craft room. Hope you sneak in some sewing!

That is soooo cute! I would probably frame it and bring it out each and every summer!

And from someone who's sewing machine (and studio!) is currently in a box in a container on a ship half the world away) I am more than a *teeny* bit envious that you have yours out. Enjoy that time!!!

At first glance I admired the art work. It is simple and meaningful. I think your daughter is thinking of going to beach. =)

This is adorable! And one of those crafts that looks easy enough that I won't get frustrated with halfway through and give up on :)
