Pumpkin Spice Latte Season has provided ample opportunities to employ the gift I won from Sara at Red Owl Designs - the coffee cozy she gave away has made feeding my caffeine addiction an even more pleasurable experience!
I knew these would make perfect little gifts for the upcoming holidays,
Wanting to use really large buttons, I decided to try covering my own
with a kit I picked up from Wal-mart. Why hadn't I tried this before?!
It was so fun, and provided a nice contrast to the sleeve fabric.
My final coffee sleeve is a very loose translation of all of
the military inspired fashions I've been seeing this fall.
(A jacket that I've been coveting served as my muse.)
The only change I made was to add extra elastic and buttons.
I think I will keep this one for me!
Be sure to check out the pattern - it is simple and quick to put together, and would make a great stocking stuffer!

Those are cute, though I'm afraid if I made one I'd keep starbucks in business singlehandedly. :) I have one of those button maker things, tried to use it to make hair clips for my daughter, it was a bit rough but I'll work out the kinks. I've been inspired by all the blogs I've been readings craftyness (is that a word?) So I'm going to start a new theme on mine. Check back Monday, I'll have a giveaway I think.
