Red and white is the theme around here...
Get it? Jingle - bell.
The little reindeer is another Mod Podge project - to work around the curves, I tore the paper in strips and decoupaged them in pieces.
This old floor pillow fits perfectly with my Christmas decor after I covered it with fabric that I got at Ikea months ago.
Each year as stores begin rolling out new Christmas decorations, I am tempted to completely overhaul my collection and go with a new, updated color scheme (brown and blue, candy-colored, or metallics; the options are endless!).
But when I really start looking, I always end up gravitating back to the red and white. As I pulled things from my attic this year, I purged all other colors until I was left with were these two. It seems that by having a cohesive color-scheme throughout my home, my collection makes an even bigger impact.
What about you? Do you stick with a specific color pallet or do you have an eclectic mix?

I use Greens and browns in my house so a large portion of my Christmas decs gravitate towards the browns & greens with deep reds mixed in.
I love all your decs.
We actually have red and silver as our theme. Your house is super cute! I wish I had ALL red and silver... but we still have a few 'other' colors mixed it at this point. But it's MOSTLY the theme colors.
I love it! I do red and white too. Actually, my normal colors are red, white, and yellow, so it all blends well without too much work.
Your tree looks beautiful and I LOVE the giant bells.
Wow, it looks awesome! And I love the jingle bell. Around here I usually mix it up from year to year. Last year I did pastels in the kitchen and a traditional theme and three in the living room. This year I'm doing a jewel-toned ocean theme. I still have SO much to do!
I agree having a consistent color scheme looks nice, but that's definitely not the case at our house. My ornaments and my decorations are very eclectic. We started early in our marriage collecting one ornament per year that had something to do with what happened that year (for example, the year we bought our first house, the ornament was a house). Between that and other ornaments given as gifts, our tree is a delightful hodge-podge of memories. I wouldn't trade any of them, though. :)
Cute! I tend to go with red and gold. But my family keeps giving me decorations and I don't want to get rid of them in case I hurt thier feelings...
Your decorations are gorgeous! You are such an inspiration! I'm still working on building up my collection of decorations since we lost a bunch in a flood last year. Its a good reason to start over though! :)
I use different color themes on different trees and in different areas of the home, I have a red tree, a metallic tree, a white and silver tree...
Your decorations are just lovely!
I love your faux mantle stocking-holder, very clever! Actually, I recently wrote a post on decorating for the holidays on a budget - while I didn't go into too much detail on homemade arts & crafts projects, I do have a few ideas that I can share. Perhaps cleaning out an old mayonnaise jar to use as a candle holder, or painting old bulbs or balls to place in a clear mixing bowl for a unique decoration. There are so many ways around spending an excessive amount of cash, but there are also reasons to spend SOME cash :).

Happy Holidays to you and yours!

I love the red and white theme! I wanted to do red, white with silver theme this year but I am too cheap to go buy new things, I'll just have to wait until the after Christmas sales.
I love your decorations. Beautiful. Ours is a pretty eclectic mix. I love the traditional red, green, gold and silver-so that's what we mostly use.
I'm with you! I adore all things RED!
I'm like Jennifer up there, my trees are all of memories. In my girls rooms this year I'm doing a sugar plum theme-they are so excited (so am I!). I do break up the Christmas decorations I have into different rooms-I have a kitchen-candy theme in the kitchen, beach theme in the the bathroom, toys and fun in the living room, etc. It's easier because I don't have to eliminate favorite pieces-I just find a room they fit in!
You have great ideas-can't wait to try some out!
LOVE the "jingle" sign with the red bell, candy cane & black shelf & frames!! So striking! Love all your red & white touches!
