Christmas Tree Topper

I have never found a suitable crown for my tree; each year I have settled with a wobbly snowflake that was ok, but didn't look great.

This year, I wanted something different, so, off to Hobby Lobby I went. After perusing the aisles and coming across little that was both unique AND inexpensive, I left empty-handed.

Once home, I inspected my own selection of Christmas decor, and came across this wreath that I made a few years ago from a couple of garlands...

I began cutting...

And cut some more...

And began randomly placing sprigs throughout the top branches, until I had achieved wangly tree-top perfection!

I like it. Different, but cute

And, best of all, free!

It is perfect. I love it. Goes with the tree and gives it that jazz look.
Well done

Love it! The best ideas are the ones that are different. My trees are somewhat similar to yours. Kind of like the tree has a spiky haircut!! Mine has long candy canes and silver wheat. Whn I write it out, it sounds weird. Promise it looks better than it sounds!!

Hi Kristin!!! I Love it!!! You could even go tot he party store and get those metallic "sprays" in different colors... I like the "Spray Topper" idea... I haven't seen any "tree toppers" that really "tickle my fancy"... this is fun AND different!

Thanks for sharing!

I'm impressed with the creativity. You've done a great job. I've never seen anything like it. You deserve some sort of award for originality. Martha Stewart -- eat your heart out! :-)

Nice!

I'm with you. I haven't been able to find just the right tree topper. I may have to get all crafty on that baby!

That is really pretty! I always have trouble finding the right tree topper, too. We have an ugly star right now. Maybe I'll try your idea:)

What a great idea! I love this! I don't have a topper either b/c I don't really like any of the ones I've seen to buy. Thanks for the idea.
