Insert catchy title about sewing bloomers here

I followed a pattern and achieved success. So did my sister. Once we figured it out, we didn't want to stop. We used a "Britches and Bloomers" pattern from Jackie Clark Designs, and I would highly recommend this design because it was so simple. E. Z. As. Pie.

Here are a pair of bloomers that my sister, Autumn, made for my niece. Don't they look like little clown pants? And I mean that in the best way - unlike the pajama pants I attempted AGAIN, which were the definition of bad clown pants (sorry, won't be posting a picture of that).

Here are a pair I made. I wish I had a pair of pants like these. What is the cut-off age for bloomers? Also, when does a round belly stop being cute? Because on my 2 year-old it looks adorable, but I'm not sure it would work for me...

With pastel, rose-covered madras, how could you go wrong? Also, I assure you that my child does generally wear shirts. I just didn't have anything to coordinate with the pants at the moment, so you get to see her being preoccupied with her belly button.

And for the final project, Autumn made a skirt! This skirt will be great for the hot Texas days ahead.

We had a lot of fun scouring the fabric stores (we couldn't give up shopping altogether!) and making our projects. I think we started a new tradition.

Hope you don't mind my blog stalking. Thoose bloomers are adorable. I might just have to see if I can figure that pattern out. I'm not so good at 3 dimensional things, I usually stick with the quilts. I love the little crayon roll, that would be such a perfect gift for Birthday Partys. I'll be back!

That is the same pattern that I used to learn to make pants. Now I just apply the same method to any pants pattern and voila! What? Less than an hour-start to finish?
